Brent will live

This is the time
to test my spirit
or is it the time
for me to carry on?
I'm alive
just not breathing
all around you
though for some I might be gone
I'm like the river that flows through the mountains of beyond

I wont cry today
I'll give it all my self control
Instead I'll pray to God
to have mercy on your soul

I'll remember, all the good things, of your life
I'll remember, all the good things, of your life
like your smile
I'll remember, everything, about your life
No I wont cry

I can still see you
with that camera of yours
eager to get back
to start editing and opening doors
you gave it all to your work
even gave yourself for the common good

But I wont cry today
I'll give it all my self control
Instead I'll pray to God tonight
to have mercy on your soul

I'll remember, all the good things, of your life
I'll remember, all the good things, of your life
like your smile
I'll remember, everything, about your life
No I wont cry, tonight

I'll remember, all the good things, of your life
I'll remember, everything, about your life
You get the glory, man
I'll remember, all the good things, of your life
like your smile

The day he left he named it as his course
he lived and thrived like a mighty force
so close your eyes and see him in between your memories
you'll hear the wind singing something sweet through the trees

Brent will live in me
yes in you and me
some may not but some will see
Brent will live

I'll remember, all the good things, of your life
I'll remember, everything, about your life
You get the glory
I'll remember, all the good things, of your life
I cant believe I'm writing this
We'll remember, all the good things, of your life
I'll remember, everything, about your life
like your smile

Brent, you're gone
but these cars bud, they keep moving on
or maybe, that's the sign
I wish you'd live a thousand lives
as I watch you go beyond that light.

a friend a journalist and a great human being,

Deeply moving and touching, beyond what words could ever describe. Brent definately is a free bird, flying into the Light. He shall always be loved and remembered as a beautiful Spiritual Being with a heart of gold. Truly, may his Soul rest in Peace, as he is now with God and the Angels. Thank your writing such a touching and heart-warming poem. God Bless You.

This is very heartfelt and touching. Thank you for writing this amazing piece.

I knew Brent as an acquaintance.

He was a genuine, peaceful, and caring person. Hopefully, we can all bring his caring, peaceful nature into our everyday lives and positively affect our relationships with friends, family, and strangers.
